We have a new mobile game in town, Chaos Zero Nightmare, which was recently released, and the servers were made available a few hours ago.
As this website is all about games with full controller support, I decided to test Chaos Zero Nightmare to see if the game has full controller support.
Below are my findings.
Does Chaos Zero Nightmare have controller support?
The answer is no. Chaos Zero Nightmare does not support a controller but rather on-screen touch controls.
This simply means external controllers are not compatible unless you use a third-party app and map out the buttons. Mind you, this only works on Android.
I tested the game with different controllers like the Xbox controller, PS4 and PS5 controllers, a Gamesir controller, and the Backbone controller, and none of them worked or were supported.
From there, I drew the conclusion that Chaos Zero Nightmare is not controller supported.

Game Overview
Chaos Zero Nightmare is a free-to-play dark fantasy roguelike / strategy RPG developed by Super Creative and published by Smilegate, releasing globally on October 22, 2025 for Android, iOS and PC.
The game places you in a post-apocalyptic universe overtaken by a mysterious black fog known as “Chaos” which consumes planets and warps lifeforms.
You take on the role of the Captain aboard the vessel SS Nightmare, guiding a group of Agents from several factions (e.g., Ironrain, Terrascion) to confront the encroaching calamity.
The narrative emphasises branching choices, layered timelines and memory-shaped outcomes, where your decisions leave persistent effects on future runs.
Chaos Zero Nightmare combines card-based combat with strategic team building and roguelike run mechanics.
Each Agent brings a hand of unique cards into battle; you must manage deck synergy, adapt to evolving battlefield conditions, and make meaningful choices.
The game also introduces stress/trauma mechanics (agents may collapse or suffer emotional/psychological damage through repeated exposure to Chaos).
Every run is meant to be different: choices, team compositions, and “world state” evolve, giving the game replayability.
Every run is meant to be different: choices, team compositions, and “world state” evolve, giving the game replayability.
The art style leans into anime-inspired 2D visuals, chibi-character models in some modes, fully voiced cutscenes, and a brooding gothic atmosphere.
