If you’re a lover of role-playing games, or popularly called RPGs, we have a new game for you called Brave Frontier Versus, which was recently released on both the Play Store and App Store.
I couldn’t wait to test the game just to see if the game is fully controller-supported, and here’s the result from my testing.
Does brave frontier versus have controller support?
The straightforward answer is no. Brave Frontier Versus does not have controller support or support the use of external controllers like the Xbox, PS5, PS4, Backbone, GameSir, etc.
The game only has on-screen touch controls, which was quite disappointing as there’s no external controller support.
However, if you’re using an Android phone, you can still use an external controller, but it only requires mapping the onscreen buttons with the controller.
To be able to achieve this, you definitely need a third-party app like Mantis Gamepad Pro or others. There are so many of them on the Google Play Store, but I only use Mantis Gamepad Pro.
However, there’s nothing like having native controller support for a game because these third-party apps require developer mode, and you must give the app permission to your phone.

Brave Frontier Versus is a new digital card-battle game in the long-running Brave Frontier franchise. Instead of being a traditional turn-based RPG like prior entries, this instalment pivots into fast-paced, five-turn duels where players build decks, deploy units, and aim for strategic comebacks.
In essence: you’ll assemble a 20-card deck comprised solely of character cards, deploy up to six units on the field, and draw special “Manifestation” cards on turn 3 and turn 5 to shift the momentum.
Signature “Brave Burst” special attacks from the series return to deliver big moments in battle.

Yes, Brave Frontier Versus has multiplayer modes, and the best part is that it supports PvP mode as well.
