Finally, the game has been released, and a few hours ago, the servers were made available. I’m talking about this mobile game called Resonance Solstice, which is the new mobile game in town.
The game is available on PC, Android, and iOS.
I couldn’t wait to test the game, though I was very much disappointed, maybe because I’m not a fan of gacha games.
Right now, we have lots of gacha anime-style games being released on mobile platforms compared to other game genres.
So, the big question is: Does the game have controller support?
Below is the answer.
Does Resonance Solstice have controller support?
No. Resonance Solstice does not have a controller support and this means you can’t play the using any of the Xbox controllers, PS5 or PS4 controller, Backbone, etc.
This type of game is not what I will ask you to use button mapping to map out the buttons simply because it’s an auto card game.
I thought it will get an open world game like the blue protocol star resonance but it’s a much different game, more like a card battle game even though it’s an MMORPG.
Don’t Miss:
Game Overview
Resonance Solstice is a hybrid mobile/PC game blending train simulation, business management, and card-battle RPG mechanics.
In the story, an alien object called “Selene β” appears in the sky, wreaking havoc: human society collapses, cities fall into chaos, people are transformed, and the world is reorganised.
As the player, you assume the role of a train conductor for an organisation named Columba Chamber of Commerce (or simply “Columba”), and you pilot a powerful train called the Eternal (or “Infinite” train in some versions) across continents to reconnect cities and rebuild trade routes.
Key features include:
- Train simulation & management — You customise your train, manage goods, passenger transport, and trade across regions in a post-disaster world.
- Real-time card battles — Combat is resolved via live card-based mechanics where you build a team (crew members) and use cards to fight enemies during your rail journey.
- Narrative & world-building — The aesthetic is anime-style with Live2D characters and a dystopian but stylised landscape. The world is fractured, and you are the connecting thread as you travel by rail.
- Business simulation/trade — Beyond battles and travel, you engage in trade, investing in cities, buying/selling goods between regions, and using your train as a mobile business hub.
Why it stands out:
The combination of running a train in a post-catastrophe world, managing trade, and engaging in card battles gives it a cross-genre flavour that’s relatively uncommon.
The train journey metaphor reinforces movement, connection, and reconstruction in the setting.
Some early commentators noted that the train concept is compelling but felt that the battle/auto-battle components were more generic.
Things to consider:
While the premise is strong, user reviews (especially for the Steam version) have been predominantly negative in some cases.
The game has a “gacha” component (typical of many mobile RPGs) in terms of character/crew acquisition and card building.
Resonance Solstice is an MMORPG game but it’s no an open world game. The game is more of simulation and role playing, so if you’re expecting to see an open world mobile game, it’s featured in this game.
In summary: Resonance Solstice offers a unique setting where you manage a train and business empire while engaging in card-based strategy, all wrapped in a stylised, anime-influenced narrative about restoring a broken world. If you like games with multiple mechanics and a strong theme of journey & connection, it’s worth a look.
