So finally, Raven 2 has been released, and a few hours ago, the servers became available after a whopping 24 hours of waiting.

I downloaded and installed the game, which is almost 12GB in size, and tested it with different controllers like the Xbox controller, PS4 and PS5 controllers, Gamesir controller, and Backbone controller to see if the game fully supports controllers.

Below are my findings.

Raven 2 controller support

Does raven 2 have controller support?

The straight answer is no. The mobile game raven 2 is not controller supported after testing the game with different brands of external controllers or gamepads.

Quite disappointing, as the game took a huge 12GB of data from my limited data plan.

Though I wasn’t surprised, the game is an MMORPG. Most MMORPGs don’t have external controller support, as they’re mostly auto-battles, and Raven 2 is no exception.

So bear in mind, Raven 2 is an auto-battle MMORPG.

But aside from these, the game featured stunning graphics, especially if you set the graphics to the highest level.

The display is fantastic, but in the end, I was disappointed that it is an auto-battle and doesn’t have gamepad support.

The Game Overview

Raven 2 multiplayer

Raven 2 is a mobile (and PC) dark-fantasy MMORPG developed by Netmarble, built with Unreal Engine and set for global release.

Key features:

  • You enter a world where gods, demons, and cursed humans clash. Players take on the role of someone marked by a “Stigma” and join a special corps to fight the darkness.
  • There are up to eight different classes to pick from (Assassin, Berserker, Vanguard, Elementalist, Divine Caster, Night Ranger, Destroyer, Deathbringer), each with unique combat styles.
  • Combat is real-time, action-oriented, with large scale PvE and PvP (including guild wars and open world exploration).
  • It supports cross-platform play between mobile and PC, making it easy to switch devices.
  • The game follows a free-to-play model, with in-app purchases and typical MMO progression systems (equipment upgrades, skill trees, customization).

Key Features;

  • The visual quality is high for a mobile game — dark fantasy aesthetic, cinematic cut-scenes, detailed environments.
  • It aims to combine the depth of a PC MMORPG with the accessibility of mobile.
  • Large scale battles and guild systems mean social interaction and competition are central.

If you like immersive dark fantasy settings, large-scale multiplayer action, and playing with friends across devices, Raven 2 may be a strong pick especially once it’s available in your region.

Do i recommend the game?

Yes, I do recommend the game, especially if you love MMORPGs. The graphics are fantastic, which is what I love about the game, as it gives a high-graphics, realistic vibe.

However, as I’m not into MMORPG and the game not having a controller support, I can’t see myself playing the game.

I still recommend the game to you.

The developer did a nice job, though it’s a microtransaction type of game. So try it to see for yourself, especially if you don’t mind spending 12GB of data on the game, especially those not on Wi-Fi or with an unlimited data plan.
